Abstract: In order to screen suitable seeds leaching agents that can promote wheat seeds germination under sulfate stress, three kinds of fulvic acid, melatonin and salicylic acid were used to soak wheat seeds, the treated and untreated wheat seeds were then cultured with 100mmol/LNa2SO4 solution. In addition, a group of control experiment were set up to culture seeds in water. The salt tolerance was evaluated by principal component analysis after measuring the growth and physiological indexes of wheat seeds at germination stage under each treatment. The results showed that 0.5g/L~1.5g/L fulvic acid, 0.01mmol/L~0.1mmol/L melatonin, 0.1mmol/L ~ 0.5mmol/L salicylic acid leaching increased root activity and antioxidant enzyme activity of wheat, decreased the superoxide anion radical (O2-) production rate and malondialdehyde (MDA) content in wheat. It alleviated the salt stress on wheat seed germination, enhanced the salt tolerance of wheat seed during germination, and promoted the germination and growth of wheat. Among them, 1.5g/L fulvic acid, 0.1mmol/L melatonin and 0.5mmol/L salicylic acid soaked the seeds best, which increased the germination potential of wheat under Na2SO4 stress by 27.25, 21.25, 13.25 percentage points, and germination rate by 21.5, 15, 5.5 percentage points. The plant height and fresh weight increased by 45.45%, 26.48% and 13.64%, and the fresh weight increased by 18.25%, 11.11% and 8.73%, which could be used as a better seed soaking agent to resist sulfate stress in wheat seed germination stage. |
