In order to explore the elite alleles associated with stem strength in wheat and materials carrying these elite alleles,in this study,126 wheat materials were analyzed by using mixed line model (MLM) in three year, and the allelic effects of the associated loci were analyzed. The results showed that five stable loci(wmc83,gwm539,barc358,barc59 and barc134) distributed on 2B,2D,5A,5B and 6B chromosomes were detected in three year, and the phenotypic interpretation rate was more than 8%. A total of 11 elite alleles were further explored at the three stable loci. They are wmc83-A110,wmc83-A147,wmc83-A151,gwm539-A120,barc358-A179/161,barc358-A185/161,barc358-A185/179,barc358-A190/161,barc59-A182,barc59-A191 and barc134-A194,among which wmc83-A110 have a strongest allelic effect on increasing stem strength. The stem strength of the materials increased with the number of the elite allelic variations. The distribution frequency of materials in South Yellow-Huai River Valleys Wheat Region,North Yellow-Huai River Valleys Wheat Region,Middle and Low Yangtze Valleys Wheat Region and Southwest Wheat Region corrying 2(40.3%),1(27.8%),1 (35.3%) and 4(50.0%) elite alleles are highest, respectively. Nine materials(e.g. Neimai 10) containing more than 4 elite alleles can be used as important resources for improving wheat stem strength in corresponding wheat regions. |
