In order to detect the QTLs that control flag leaf size traits in wheat,a population of 148 F8 RILs derived from a cross between Ningchun 4 and Drasdale was used to detect the QTLs for flag leaf area, flag leaf length, flag leaf width and flag leaf perimeter under three different water treatments. The results showed a total of 22 additive-effect QTLs are detected, including three QTLs for flag leaf area, five QTLs for flag leaf length, nine QTLs for flag leaf width, and five QTLs for flag leaf perimeter. These QTLs are located on chromosomes 1B,2D,3B,4B,7A,7B and 7D,with single QTL explaining 6.58% to 39.83% of the phenotypic variances. qFLW-2D-2.T1 was detected under T1 and T3 water treatments, and qFLW-7D.T1 was detected under T1 and T2 water treatments, indicating the expression of these two QTLs were stable and independent of treatments. Other QTLs were detected only in single treatment, thus were treatment-dependent. Some QTLs control two or three traits over-lapped,and these QTLs might be linked to each other or pleiotropic, which needs to be further validated. |
