A total of 11 traits, including 7 agronomical traits and 4 biochemical traits were measured in 32 ABP9 transgenic winter wheat lines and corresponding receptor parent Shi 4185 grown in rain fed (drought stress) and well watered environment, the drought resistance of these materials were evaluated comprehensively by using the methods of subordinate function and drought resistance measure value (Dvalue), and the correlation degree between these traits and drought resistance index was analyzed and evaluated by using gray relational grade analysis method. The results showed that the drought resistance of 6 and 10 transgenic wheat lines exceeded their parent Shi 4185 when evaluated by using the methods of subordinate function and D value, respectively; the results of gray relational grade analysis indicated that the correlation degree between these traits and drought resistance index were ranked from high to low as follows: single spike weight, spikelet numbers per ear, 1 000 kernel weight, number of kernel per spike, chlorophyll content, POD activity, MDA content, SOD activity, plant height, effective tillers. In conclusion, the agronomic traits such as single spike weight, spikelet numbers per ear, 1 000 kernel weight, number of kernel per spike could be used as the main drought index in determination and selection of drought resistant ABP9 transgenic wheat lines, and the biochemical traits may be taken as reference; given different traits index was not always contribute to drought resistance equally in wheat, drought resistance measure value (Dvalue) was more accurate and reliable than the methods of average subordinate function in comprehensive evaluation of drought resistance in crops. |
