A set of 310 recombinant inbred lines derived from a cross between γ rays induced mutant line H307 and an elite cultivar Zhengmai 9023 were used to analyze the QTL for 1 000 grain weight (TGW),kernel area (KA),kernel perimeter (KP),kernel length (KL),kernel width (KW),protein content (PC) and starch content (SC) under two different environments using the software QTL ICIMapping V3.3.A genetic linkage map was constructed with 133 SSR markers.A total of 47 additive QTLs and 10 QTL rich regions were identified for the seven kernel traits,e.g.,6 additive QTLs for 1000 grain weight on chromosomes 1D,2B,3D,6D and 7A,explaining phenotypic variance from 4.54% to 13.14%;31 additive QTLs for kernel shape on chromosomes 1B,1D,2B,3B,3D,5A,5D,6B,6D,7A and 7D,explaining phenotypic variance from 2.90% to 15.86%;10 additive QTLs for protein content and starch content on chromosomes 1A,1B,4B and 6A,explaining phenotypic variance from 3.64% to 12.19%,respectively.The 2B chromosome was an important chromosome to control kernel traits in wheat, with 10 stable QTLs detected contributing to TGW,KA,KP,KL and KW.In addition, there were 2 QTLs for protein content and starch content were detected on the long arm of chromosome 1B.The contributions of the two additive QTLs were 3.64% and 4.66% respectively, and the genetic distance was 0.22 cM,which were novel than that reported previously. |
