To identify and screen wheat varieties (lines) resistanting to low potassium, 168 DH lines derived from a cross between Huapei 3 and Yumai 57 were used in this study. 13 indexes were investigated, including total dry weight, root dry weight, shoot dry weight, shoot dry weight/ root dry weight, root average diameter, total root volume, total root surface area, total root length, root activity, superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, total K+concentration and total K+accumulation, to analyze the reaction of different lines under low potassium stress, and to evaluate their resistance to low potassium and select the suitable indexes which can be used in evaluating the ability of resistance to low potassium. The results showed that the resistance of wheat to low potassium could not be comprehensively and accurately reflected by a single index. The comprehensive value (D value), basd on the method of principal component analysis and subordinate function, could directly demonstrate the capacity of resistance to low potassium of different DH lines. The best regression equation was established with the mathematical method of stepwise regression, and 6 indexes which significantly influenced the low potassium resistant of wheat were selected from the 13 indexes. |
